Rob Burmaster has been with Alpha Supported Living Services since 2006, originally hired as an Administrative Assistant. Rob was soon moved to a management training position in an effort to make the most of his unending interest in every aspect of the work. He was quickly promoted to the position of Client Services Manager, and with the creation of two separate branches in 2008, he was promoted to the position of Alpha West Branch Director. With the continued growth of the organization, Rob was promoted to the newly created role of Director of Operations in 2016, overseeing the Supported Living and Group Home services for the agency. A graduate of the University of San Diego, Rob previously worked as the Assistant Director of Meals of Marin, a nonprofit in San Rafael, CA. It was that position that first brought him closer to the field of developmental disabilities as one of his deliveries was to a home serving people with developmental disabilities. In 2008, Rob was honored by the Community Residential Services Association with the Emerging Leader Award for his “leadership skills and potential for making a mark in the field of residential supports for persons with developmental disabilities.” He also received Alpha’s Outstanding Service Award in 2011.
