Mercury Golf Tournament back after three year hiatus.

After a three year break, the Mercury Golf Tournament was back in action at the Nile Shrine Golf Course in Mountlake Terrace. Thanks to the many generous sponsors, groups enjoyed a day of golfing and a delicious catered meal. It was great to have this event back in full swing! Thank you to all that sponsored and thank you Mercury for another great event! Proceeds from this year’s golf tournament will benefit Alpha, as well as Puget Sound Regional Services.

This year’s DSP Recognition Week is September 10th-16th.

The annual tradition of honoring all the hard working Direct Support Professionals who provide such great care to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities is happening September 10th-16th. This is a week to celebrate the remarkable and often unacknowledged work that DSP’s provide. Agencies all over the nation are preparing to show their appreciation and if you know a DPS, be sure to join in and show your appreciation too!

Alpha Receives 2023 Moving Mountains Award

Each year, the National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals, the Institute on Community Integration, and ANCOR recognize organizations using leading practices in direct support workforce development that result in improved outcomes for people with disabilities. We are extremely honored that Alpha Supported Living Services has received the 2023 Moving Mountains Award!!

This is national recognition of our efforts over the last several years to increase compensation for Direct Support Professionals through our statewide advocacy, improve our recruitment efforts and lower turnover at our agency, develop training materials and expand the organizational structure to better support DSP’s work and improve service quality.
